Do you make excuses as to why you don’t Exfoliate or use a Mask once a week?

  • too tired
  • no time
  • too busy
  • too many steps for me
  • it’s one more product I have to get
  • it irritates my skin
  • I don’t need it (yikes!)

If you can relate to any of the above then we need to talk.

Everyone likes to cleanse their skin, because it feels clean-right? But for many reasons you don’t like to exfoliate regularly or use a face mask regularly?

I do understand this way of thinking and it’s generally because people don’t actually know WHY they should be doing either one and how they are going to benefit from doing so.

Firstly, yes, you need to cleanse your skin twice a day to remove any excess oils and dirt or remove any makeup. Secondly, you do need to exfoliate once or twice a week with an exfoliant that suits your skin type and condition (as we don’t want any irritation). This is because, on average, skin cells turnover once every 28 days so exfoliating weekly helps the skin to remain smooth, fresh, healthy and free from dead cells – therefore if you have dry skin cells, blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, ageing skin, or your skin just looks plain dull, then it needs help. This help is called exfoliating!

BEWARE: You can over exfoliate the skin leaving it irritated, sensitive, raw, unbalanced and dry. We don’t want this!

Once all the dead, dry, old skin cells have been gently removed your skin will respond better to what you are about to put on it next, your MASK.

Using a Mask once a week will give your skin a boost, much like having a facial. Once again your Mask needs to be compatible with your skin. Our Purifying Scrub + Mask and Clarifying Gel Mask will give your skin the right amount of nourishment and will leave your skin with a gorgeous glow.
